Crispy Baked Chicken Strips

I was wondering at 4:30 what in the world I was going to make for dinner (I know none of you ever do this!) and I found this recipe on recipezaar.com. It was yummy, my kids loved it, it only took 30 minutes and I had everything I needed in my pantry. Can you say "the perfect meal!" Ok, I wouldn't go that far but it is definitly worth sharing.

Crispy Baked Chicken Strips

2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (I used chicken tenderloins and they were perfect), thawed
1 egg, beaten
2 cups finely crushed cracker crumbs (I used Club crackers)
1 t garlic powdere
1/4 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1/4 t chili powder

Preheat oven to 375. Cut chicken breasts into strips (or just use tenderloins whole). Mix cracker crumbs and seasonings well. Dip chicken pieces into egg, then dredge in crumb mixture. Place on greased cookie sheet and cook at 375 for 20-25 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through.

  1. So this is hilarious! We are still sooooo much alike! I am also a food nerd and get excited about new recipes. I am so excited to find a new resource for recipes to try. I"m actually going to school for nutrition right now. I do not however take pictures of mine since I have a hard time making dishes look good. Thanks for the recipes!
